Street Fighter – Part 7: Street Fighter 6 – A New Era (Final Part)

This is the final part of the essay series covering the main story of the Street Fighter timeline. Street Fighter 6, the latest release, has been a massive success both commercially and critically. It’s currently the most popular fighting game, dominating tournaments with the largest player base in the genre. Before diving into the main story, I’d like to address a few things about the timeline:

Timeline Issues in the Street Fighter Universe

Capcom gave birthdays to all their characters up until Street Fighter 2, with canonical birthdates available on the Street Fighter fandom page. The events from Street Fighter 1 to 3 occur between 1987 and 1998. Street Fighter 1 features the first tournament where Ryu becomes champion against Sagat in 1987. The Alpha Series 1 and 2 take place six months later, concluding with Alpha 3 in 1989. Street Fighter 2 begins in 1991 with the second world tournament organized by Shadaloo and Bison, who are eventually defeated. Street Fighter IV happens in 1994 with S.I.N. hosting the third world tournament, followed by Street Fighter V in 1995, ending with Bison’s death and Shadaloo’s destruction. Street Fighter 3 unfolds in 1997 with the fourth world tournament led by Gill and the Secret Society, culminating in Third Strike in 1998, marking the finale of the main story.

The problem with Street Fighter 6 is that Capcom hasn’t provided an exact timeline for when it takes place. It’s assumed the story happens about ten years after the events of Street Fighter III: Third Strike. The legacy characters (Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, etc.) are noticeably older, and some of the kids are now teenagers. Ken’s son, Mel, born during Street Fighter IV, is now a teen, and Li-Fen, the child Chun-Li rescued in Street Fighter V during the Shadaloo base destruction and later adopted, is also a teenager in Street Fighter 6. So, the exact date is still unclear. Even if we assume SF6 takes place ten years after SF3, around 2008, Metro City’s modern aesthetics and advanced technology like smartphones and cars make it feel more like the 2020s, closer to our current era. It’s clear Capcom aimed to appeal to modern audiences by setting the story near 2020–2025, even if it doesn’t fit perfectly with the canon timeline.

In the end, it doesn’t really matter if Street Fighter 6 is set in the early 2010s or 2020s. There’s definitely a time skip between Street Fighter 3 and 6, but SF6’s events are still a sequel to SF3. Capcom could always reboot the franchise to retcon the lore, making future games align with the current timeline without negatively impacting the characters. So, let’s begin our story in this new era of Street Fighter.

Street Fighter 6 is the first game in the series, and in the fighting genre as a whole, to feature a completely new story mode built around a semi-open world with RPG elements like leveling up and completing story quests. This mode, called "World Tour," lets you create your own character—your avatar—and experience the story through them, making you the true protagonist, much like in an RPG. Along the way, your avatar will meet and interact with both classic and new characters featured in the story. Before diving into the typical presentation of each character’s background, which also includes solo stories in arcade mode, I’ll first share the basic story of World Tour. There’s also a comic series called *Street Fighter 6: Days of Eclipse*, a prequel to World Tour, available for free on Capcom’s official page if you’d like to read it in full. I’ll start with a summary of *Days of Eclipse* before moving on to the main events of World Tour.

Street Fighter 6: Days of Eclipse

Ken Masters' evolution provides crucial context. Once a national champion who retired after Ultra Street Fighter II to helm the Masters Foundation—a philanthropic conglomerate—Ken embodies the tension between his warrior past and domesticated present. Married with a young son, Mel, he channels his Ansatsuken discipline into corporate leadership, funding global initiatives. Yet, Days of the Eclipse reveals how this stability crumbles under orchestrated malice, forcing Ken to reclaim his fighter's resolve. The series contrasts his boardroom poise with visceral street brawls, underscoring nuances like the pressure of legacy: Will he prioritize family, nation-building, or self-preservation? This mirrors broader Street Fighter motifs, where personal trials fuel growth, as seen in Ryu's Satsui no Hado struggles or Chun-Li's justice quests.

The story unfolds in Nayshall (alternately stylized as NAL or Nishal), a fictional mountainous Asian city-state striving for independence amid superpower tensions. Emerging post-colonial turmoil, Nayshall blends ancient traditions—like royal Cilan cloth legends—with futuristic tech: AI-judged MMA tournaments in a renovated shrine arena on Mount Vashol. Ken's $1.5 billion investment, including $350 million for the "NA National Mixed Martial Arts Tournament," aims to spotlight Nayshall globally, staving off annexation. Rules emphasize brutality: 30-minute no-timeout rounds, knockouts/submissions, AI drone oversight permitting most strikes. This setting amplifies stakes—economic boon or terrorist tinderbox?—while foreshadowing SF6's Metro City chaos.

Chapter 1: "Some Indication" starts with a peaceful scene — a boy sees a wolf — contrasting with the violence coming. At Cape Town Airport, Luke Sullivan, a bold ex-military contractor and SF6 main character, takes Mel Masters to Nayshall. Their friendly talk shows their personalities: Mel complains about missing a camping trip, Luke jokes about girlfriends and rare game monsters, showing Mel's privilege and Luke's street smarts. Meanwhile, Ken defends his plan for Nayshall in a tense board meeting against doubter Albert Jackson, who warns about risks like crypto and micro-insurance ups and downs. Ken is passionate: "This tournament will put Nayshall on the map!" At the arena, Johan Petrovic — called JP, SF6's Psycho Power yogi — greets Ken warmly. A retired champion now leading an NGO (Terra Network Partners), JP praises Ken's funding for Nayshall's "IT nation" mix. King Sha gives Ken the sacred Cilan cloth, telling a dragon-slaying story about worthy leaders, quietly inviting Ken to join the competition despite his retirement. Ken politely refuses. Tensions rise: protests against fast modernization grow; JP calls protesters "confused newborns." The chapter ends with an attack — PMC convoy (driven by Marvin) hits gunmen near construction, explosions shake the night. Cliffhanger: Ken is told to run as chaos breaks out.

Chapter 2: "A Good Fake" grows with news that Ken is missing. JP's press conference praises the arena's comeback and Ken's help, but "Amnesia" — hackers against capitalism — breaks into broadcasts. Their deepfake video (AI-made from Ken's clips) accuses the Masters Foundation of arming radicals, crypto scams, and causing chaos: "Seized funds will punish exploiters!" Drones fall — maybe rigged with bombs? — causing evacuations. Chun-Li, dressed in sharp Interpol clothes (like her SF5 DLC look), arrives after M. Bison's time, investigating financial crimes. She kindly arrests a witness and tracks Mel by phone, suspecting money laundering linked to tournament bets. Ken, hurt but strong, sees the setup: viral searches and money moves show a trick. Chun-Li's partner, Tsujimoto (a nod to the 1994 film and Capcom CEO), helps quietly. The story explores digital lies — deepfakes break trust fast — while rap lines ("Grind for the city, prove the facts") highlight Ken's strong will.

Chapter 3: "Manipulation" puts Ken in Old Nayshall's market, hiding from capture. Luke brings Mel to JP, who pretends to care but plans secretly. Big reveals: JP runs Amnesia, turning drones into city bombs. He kidnaps Mel, tying him to a bomb, and gives Ken a changed detonator phone: "Save your son... or the city." Ken's pain is deep — "Hurt one hair on him, and I kill you!" — while JP talks about "stories" (like nationalism and loyalty) that cause terrorism. "People kill for stories." Explosions prove the threat real; alarms warn to avoid drones. Luke, troubled by his terrorist past, chases Ken with mixed feelings. Kalima, JP's assistant, quietly helps Ken, hinting she might betray JP.

Chapter 4: "As a Father" brings a strong ending. Trapped, Ken shows his role as fighter and dad. Kalima's bravery shines: she saved Ken from Luke (taking a bullet in the shoulder) and now faces JP, choosing Nayshall's people over his pride. JP stabs her badly, but she survives, hinting at future story (like Kolin's). Ken fights JP hard, saves Mel, and shows signs of Psycho Power. He reveals the setup, but the damage stays: people see him as a terrorist, so he must run. JP's tournament goes on, gaining control.

Street Fighter 6 World Tour - Main Story

The Avatar starts in Metro City as a complete beginner in fighting. They have never had formal training but have enough natural talent to copy Luke's basic style. Soon after starting training, they meet Luke's other student, Bosch. Their first meeting ends in a draw, but they quickly become friends. Luke gives them both the task of exploring Metro City and challenging different people to gain real fighting experience. They also look for other Masters to train with.

Things change when Bosch, who is impatient and wants to get stronger fast, gets involved in a fight between the Mad Gear Gang and another unknown group. Bosch suddenly disappears with a stolen bag, and Eliza asks the Avatar to get it back. The Avatar just wants to find Bosch to make sure he is safe, which leads to a fight with Thrasher Damnd. The Avatar finds Bosch briefly in England, but both are defeated by Juri Han. Juri almost kills the Avatar, but Bosch stops her by saying the Avatar is not involved and agrees to cooperate if the Avatar is spared. Before leaving, Bosch gives the Avatar a strange computer drive.

After that, the Avatar looks for clues about Bosch's location, mainly with help from Li-Fen, who has experience doing this kind of work for Chun-Li. Her information leads the Avatar to someone called "Asterisk," who gives the Avatar small pieces of information about Bosch and the people behind his disappearance. The Avatar does tasks for Asterisk, often meeting famous fighters like Guile, Ken Masters, E. Honda, and Ryu. Along the way, the Avatar joins the Novice Cup tournament in Metro City and meets two strong fighters, Kalima and Rewancha, but the tournament is stopped by a bomb threat. Damnd tries to kidnap Li-Fen to force the Avatar to work for the Mad Gears but gives up after losing.

The trail leads the Avatar to Old Nayshall, where they learn Bosch was part of a local resistance against mysterious forces that use Psycho Power to harm the country and its people. The resistance gives the Avatar secret missions, but these are often interrupted by a strange fighter with a box on his head, called the "Cardboard Combatant," who attacks other tournament fighters. After gaining the resistance's trust, the Avatar learns about another tournament where they can represent Metro City. To make sure this happens, the Avatar teams up with Damnd, so they represent both Metro City and the Mad Gear Gang. The Avatar also meets Bosch's sister, Yua, who is worried about her brother.

After the qualifiers, the ceremony is interrupted by the Cardboard Combatant. The Avatar tries to shake his hand, but he ignores them and leaves. Back in Metro City, the Avatar gets a text that reminds them of when they and Bosch ate pizza on Beat Square. Following this, the Avatar meets the box-headed fighter again at the top of the SiRN building. They fight and knock the box off, revealing that the Cardboard Combatant is Bosch. He explains that he and the resistance have been trying to stop the tournaments because Neo Shadaloo uses them to hide money from gangs and terrorists. Back in Nayshall, the Avatar meets Kalima and Rewancha, who are high-ranking resistance members. They say the bag Bosch stole had a lot of that money, but the plan failed when Juri got involved. Bosch let himself be infused with Psycho Power to get strong enough to kill the terrorist leader, JP.

Kalima asks the Avatar to get some electronic parts and then reveals these parts are for a bomb and its safety pin, which are attached to the championship belt JP will give to the tournament winner. The resistance plans not to use the safety pin, hoping Bosch will blow himself up with JP. The Avatar takes the pin back from Rewancha by force and tries to put it back on the belt but is stopped by JP, who tells the Avatar to leave.

The final tournament starts with a big ceremony, including a dance by Nayshall's native dancers, including Yua. The Avatar fights to win and stop the bomb before anyone gets hurt. Before the last match, Bosch warns the Avatar he won't be in control because of the Psycho Power, but the Avatar calms him and brings him back to his senses for a while. After the final match, JP comes to give the belt to the winner but lets Yua give it instead. He activates the bomb, which can't be stopped without the safety pin, hoping Yua and the finalists will die. Bosch grabs the bomb from Yua and runs away, sacrificing himself so only he dies in the blast.

The Avatar kneels by Bosch's burned body. JP mocks Bosch's sacrifice and says their earlier meeting warned him something was wrong with the belt. He leaves, happy the belt gave him some "fun." The Avatar attacks JP, who sighs and fights them in the final battle. After losing, JP asks if the Avatar is happy and thinks this win will change anything. He laughs and says it means nothing.

In the post-credits scene, Luke calls the Avatar and asks if their journey is over. The Avatar shakes their head. Luke says he thought so because once the journey to find strength starts, it never ends.

Now let's take a look at all the new and legacy characters. As always, I’ll start with the basic roster and then add all the characters that were later introduced through DLCs. Keep in mind that each character has a story arc in World Tour and a different story in arcade mode. I’ll be covering both story modes for every character.

To promote his "Adventure Tour" travel company's trip to the Amazon forest, Blanka started an online ad campaign with Blanka-chan as a "cryptid sprite" mascot. The campaign was a success and made people who knew Blanka laugh. However, a young girl named Lily truly believed Blanka-chan was a real sprite and decided to go to Brazil to meet the "sprite" in person.

In the Amazon, Blanka, dressed as Blanka-chan, was guiding tourists and taking pictures when Lily suddenly appeared from a tree. Trying to stay in character, Blanka asked if she wanted to shake hands, which made Lily laugh. She then said her spirit companion Toyno'Ikono wanted to "see more" of Blanka's character, which led to a fight.

After the fight, Blanka took off his costume, and he and Lily were seen on a boat cruising the Amazon river. Blanka apologized to Lily for "lying" about being a jungle sprite. He said he kept his real identity secret because he was afraid it would ruin children's dreams. Lily told him he didn't need to apologize because it didn't matter if he wore a costume or not. She said Blanka already had "the spirit of the jungle" inside him. Before she left, Lily said she felt the power of "all the trees and animals" in him, and that was the real "sprite" she was looking for.

Alone on the boat, Blanka realized that since the "power of the jungle" is real, Blanka-chan is real too, and so is Blanka, the "king of the jungle."

Cammy: The Investigation Continues

Over the phone, Juni worries that Cammy is so focused on work she forgets to eat and take care of herself. Cammy tells her she is different now because she has people who care about her. This makes Juni laugh. When Cammy asks why, Juni points to the cat charm on Cammy's phone and says it made her smile. Cammy says she loves the charm and thanks Juni for the gift.

After the call, Cammy still can't believe Shadaloo is gone, even though Juni thinks she's just being paranoid. Cammy also finds it strange that it's getting harder to find any signs of Shadaloo left. She travels around the world to look for clues.

Her search leads her to Nayshall, where she meets JP. She questions him about Shadaloo, but he says he doesn't know anything. As JP goes to feed his cat, his body suddenly shows a dark energy. Cammy recognizes it as Psycho Power. When she asks about it, JP stays silent. Cammy warns she will use force to get answers. JP apologizes to his cat for delaying her meal. They fight, and Cammy wins, but she feels something is wrong.

JP escapes, and Cammy goes home to think. She suspects he knows more about Shadaloo but has more questions than answers. She starts to doubt if she can really stop the criminal group. Then she remembers Juni having tea and cakes with her, smiling and sharing wise words. Cammy thanks Juni for reminding her she is not alone. She promises to succeed for herself and her “sisters.”

—Cammy's advice after training and reaching Mastery

In Chapter 7, after helping Alfred beat a gang of Mad Gear Dancers, he thanks them for the Delta Red Special Forces Unit. He invites them to visit the United Kingdom to possibly meet his commander.

When they arrive, the Avatar looks for the officer in the streets. Cammy blends into the small crowd, watching the Avatar. On her phone, she says the Avatar is not the person they are looking for, even though they know martial arts.

The Avatar senses they are being watched. They meet Cammy, who looks at them briefly before disappearing into the crowd and moving to a street corner.

The Avatar meets Cammy again. She admits she has been watching them because of their martial arts skills — a habit from her job. The Avatar asks Cammy to teach them her moves. Surprised, she agrees and tells the Avatar to meet her at the same place the next morning.

The next day, they spar.

Cammy starts with her back to the Avatar and tells them not to hold back. The Avatar tries a surprise punch to the back of Cammy's head, but Cammy easily avoids it by tilting her head. Cammy ducks under a backfist and steps back to keep distance.

After dodging a few kicks from the Avatar, both throw punches at the same time. Cammy sidesteps the Avatar's punch and almost lands her own strike, stopping just short of their face. She pushes the Avatar away and hits back with a spinning heel kick. The Avatar leans back to barely avoid it.

As the Avatar tries to counterattack, Cammy finds an opening and stops another backfist just before it hits her jaw. She pushes the Avatar back again. This time, the Avatar throws a strong hook punch. Cammy backflips away, then jumps and delivers a Cannon Strike, making the Avatar raise their guard.

Instead of attacking, Cammy uses the Avatar's head as a step to jump behind them, ending the sparring and evaluation.

Cammy tells the Avatar to strike with speed and accuracy, not to waste energy.

hoiA former high-kicking ICPO agent, now promoted to director of its special criminal intelligence division, Chun-Li takes care of Li-Fen, a victim of the Black Moon Incident. With Shadaloo broken up, she now teaches kung fu classes and is a well-loved member of the local community. When she learns that a new terrorist group called Amnesia is targeting Ken and blaming him for a crime he didn't commit, Chun-Li tries to find proof to clear his name. Since Shadaloo's fall, Chun-Li has become more thoughtful. She now wears a white outfit that keeps the series' traditions but is elegant and easy to move in. She lives calmly but brightly.

Days of the Eclipse
In Chapter 1, Chun-Li, undercover, and Tsujimoto follow Ken and Albert Jackson, who are going to a hotel. After Ken's car is attacked by masked people, Chun-Li and Tsujimoto take Ken and drive away with the injured champion.

In Chapter 2, Chun-Li asks Ken if he remembers the attack and when he asks about Albert, she says they couldn't reach him in time. She tells Ken he must stay with them for his safety. Ken asks why she is in Nayshall, and Chun-Li says she is still with Interpol and now leads their special criminal intelligence division, which is investigating international financial crimes in Nayshall. Ken is held as a key witness. After showing Ken a video sent by Amnesia, Ken gets angry and says he is innocent, but Chun-Li pushes him back and points a gun at him, telling him to calm down. She knows Ken is framed and they are trying to prove his innocence, but since the whole world saw the video, he is not safe and cannot leave. Ken asks about his son Mel, and Chun-Li is shocked to hear he is here. Ken begs to call his son, but she leaves the room and makes a call, frustrating Ken. She then calls Li-Fen, who says the video looks like a deepfake and experts could prove it in court. Li-Fen also mentions other strange details and talks about online betting linked to the tournament. Chun-Li asks Li-Fen to find Mel Masters, which annoys her because she works too hard, but Chun-Li promises to make it up to her later. Then Chun-Li hears a noise, finds Tsujimoto knocked out, and sees Ken has escaped through the window.

In Chapter 4, Li-Fen tells Chun-Li that the more she looks into JP, the more suspicious he seems. He moves from one company or NGO to another, never staying long, and works on infrastructure projects in many countries. His real name "Johan" is probably fake, and he also calls himself "Jean-Philippe." Li-Fen says most of his projects look normal, but when he gets involved, things go wrong, causing ethnic conflicts and civil wars. Chun-Li wonders if he is directly responsible, and Li-Fen agrees he is involved. She says digging deeper is risky, and all info about the businessman on the dark web is hidden. Someone even tried to hack Li-Fen back. Chun-Li asks if it's too hard for her, but Li-Fen says she could try harder if she had something to work for, asking for a new gaming mouse and a big steak. They leave the room, and Chun-Li wonders if she can ever be normal, which upsets Li-Fen.

Chun-Li: An Agent's Day Off
Chun-Li takes a break from Interpol to teach kung fu in Metro City. She meets Juri, who tries to sneak up on her, and they fight. Juri warns Chun-Li that even though M. Bison is dead, the danger is not over. Chun-Li wants answers, but Juri says Chun-Li must beat her to get them.

Chun-Li wins the fight, but Juri escapes without giving any information. Chun-Li, a hard worker, is determined to find any evil hiding in the shadows, even if M. Bison is gone.

Juri: Occupational Burnout
During their fight, Chun-Li shows understanding to Juri, her long-time rival, seeing that both were hurt by M. Bison's evil acts. They took different paths: Chun-Li chose justice and honor, while Juri chose revenge and crime. Tired of being lectured, Juri fights Chun-Li again and escapes, but Chun-Li's words stay with her.

A.K.I.: Time to Work
Chun-Li meets A.K.I., who warns her not to get involved again. If Chun-Li tries to investigate A.K.I. or her bosses, A.K.I. will not hesitate to hurt her badly.

World Tour
Elegance & Beauty. On Wings of Eternity. Nature's Grace. (エレガンスと美しさ。 永遠の翼に。 自然の恵み。 Eregansu to utsukushi-sa. Eien no tsubasa ni. Shizen'nomegumi.?, Simplified Chinese: 流花凉丽。羽华斗仙。蝶鸟舞羽。)
“Whether the skills you've learned will rest or keep growing… that is up to you. (学んだスキルを休ませるか、成長し続けるか...それはあなた次第です。 Mananda sukiru o yasuma seru ka, seichō shi tsudzukeru ka... Sore wa anata shidaidesu.?)” —Chun-Li's advice after training & reaching Mastery

In World Tour mode, Chun-Li is the second Master the player meets. She is in the Hong Hu Lu Chinatown area of Metro City. When entering, the player sees Li-Fen sparring with Chun-Li. Chun-Li keeps her hands behind her back, dodges all of Li-Fen's strikes, jumps over her last flying kick, and taps her on the back of the head with her foot as Li-Fen falls into the player. Chun-Li helps the player up, introduces herself, and starts teaching kung fu as their master.

Chun-Li is less involved in the story than her student Li-Fen, but she shares her history and interests when the player builds a strong bond with her.

A Bond with Chun-Li: 1
Chun-Li talks about her skill with guns and her love for skeet shooting. She was very good, ranking 6th in an international shooting contest. She compares shooting and martial arts, saying both need focus and hitting the target at the right time. As a police officer, Chun-Li carried a gun but mostly used her strong kicks to solve fights, firing only warning shots when needed.

A Bond with Chun-Li: 2
Chun-Li shares her love for playing the erhu, a traditional Chinese instrument. She says she is not a professional and feels shy about playing in public during the day, but invites the player to a private solo performance at night under the Hong Hu Lu Chinatown gazebo.

Playing the erhu is very important to Chun-Li. It brings back good memories and helps her feel calm. It is a way for her to find peace and connect with her feelings.

A Bond with Chun-Li: 3
When asked about family, Chun-Li says she lives with Li-Fen. Li-Fen is her student and friend, but Chun-Li also thinks of her as a younger sister, even though the age gap is big enough for Chun-Li to be Li-Fen's mother.

They met at a Shadaloo base, where Chun-Li saved Li-Fen during Shadaloo's fall. Li-Fen became an orphan with no family to care for her. Chun-Li kindly took Li-Fen into her family. At first, Li-Fen had trouble because of her trauma and didn't open up. Their relationship was awkward at first, but Chun-Li helped Li-Fen get over her fears.

Chun-Li taught Li-Fen martial arts, which made her stronger physically and helped her grow emotionally and mentally. The shy girl has grown into a confident young woman who can defend herself with spirit and strength.

Besides Li-Fen, Chun-Li tells the player about her father. He was a respected Hong Kong police officer and Chun-Li's mentor. He created the Revolving Crane Kick, also called the Spinning Bird Kick, and taught it to Chun-Li. Now, she proudly teaches this move to Li-Fen and the player, keeping the tradition alive.

A Bond with Chun-Li: 4
Near the end, Chun-Li invites the player to go shopping with her and Li-Fen. Li-Fen was the one who suggested including the player. Chun-Li says Li-Fen likes pandas and chocolate, besides programming. (In the Street Fighter 6 prequel comics, it's shown that Li-Fen likes gaming and asks Chun-Li to buy her a gaming mouse.)

Chun-Li remembers buying Li-Fen a panda bag, which Li-Fen still loves and uses. Seeing Li-Fen happy makes Chun-Li very glad, and she sometimes spoils Li-Fen on their shopping trips. Chun-Li enjoys shopping too and loves eating sweets while browsing stores with Li-Fen.

A world-famous dance music star, Dee Jay is always ready to have fun. With a strong love for music and fighting, this Jamaican star excites fans with new songs and cool dance moves.

Dee Jay: Where Inspiration Comes From
At the start, the narrator gives a short story about Dee Jay. He began as a musician and quickly became famous worldwide because of his passion and sense of rhythm. Later, he started kickboxing after finding a "martial rhythm" in street fighting. Dee Jay decided to follow both music and martial arts at the same time, mixing "battle and beats" to inspire his music and fighting skills.

The scene then shows Dee Jay sitting on a bench, using his smartphone, trying to think of lyrics for a new song. Suddenly, Kimberly appears and suggests a lyric, making Dee Jay happy. Kimberly asks if he is working on a new song, and Dee Jay says yes. Even though they just met, Dee Jay offers Kimberly an autograph, but she refuses and asks to battle him instead. Happy to meet a fighter who knows about his two talents, Dee Jay agrees to fight to "get some creative energy flowing."

After the fight, Dee Jay goes back to his recording room. He is glad to have new inspiration for a song thanks to his new "ninja friend." He praises Kimberly's fighting skills for giving him a fresh rhythm he hadn't felt in a long time. He looks forward to fighting "a new kid on the block bringing fresh energy" again.

Dee Jay meets the Avatar at one of his parties and concerts. He teaches the Avatar to feel the rhythm and dance, while also training them in fighting.

In 2008, a monk and mystical yoga master from India helped many people who were suffering. He tries to avoid fights, but his strong dislike of evil makes him give firm justice.

Dhalsim: A Sign

Dhalsim is meditating with his students inside the Dhalsimer Temple before he talks to the player. He says he "walks the path of yoga." Dhalsim explains that his job as a yoga master is to guide those who have "gone off" the right path, especially now when more people are "led astray." Because of this, Dhalsim chose to fight to bring justice himself. He knows that during his journey, fights happened so that other fights might be stopped. This made him think hard about this problem. Dhalsim admits that he, too, was "led astray" from the path of yoga, but he still wants to fight to protect others, using yoga as his guide.

While Dhalsim kept meditating, he felt an "incredible power" sleeping somewhere in the world. He decided to find out more about it.

At the Thunderfoot Settlement in Mexico, Dhalsim teleports from far away to meet the source of this "incredible power" — a young girl named Lily. Lily sees Dhalsim floating and asks if he is a spirit before she introduces herself. Dhalsim says he is not a spirit, just a normal monk. Because Dhalsim is calm and serious, Lily compares him to the chief Singing Wolf and asks if he has a message for her. Dhalsim says yes, he came to give her a "message" and asks to fight to test Lily's strength. Lily happily agrees.

After the fight, Dhalsim becomes friends with Lily and chief Singing Wolf, and they take a selfie together. Dhalsim feels no danger in Lily's spirit but thinks that the "great power" inside her (her spirit companion Toyno'Ikonoi) might be the "sleeping" form of the Satsui no Hado. He hopes this is not true.

In 2008, E. Honda, a sumo wrestler who wants to make sumo popular worldwide, has the skills of a yokozuna. But because he travels a lot, he has not been promoted. He is also a great chef known for his tasty chanko stew.

E. Honda: Chanko House Edomon
While E. Honda is watching the building of his new restaurant, Chanko House Edomon in Metro City, he tells the player about its features. There is a sumo stage where people can watch live matches, a "real" sumo wrestler who uses Sumo Headbutt to serve food, and a hot spring bath with tanuki statues that look like Honda himself. Honda then talks about how hard it was to find the right place for his restaurant because he traveled all over the world to find the best spot.

In a flashback, Honda arrives at the Fête Foraine funfair in France. He likes the place so much that he first wants to open his restaurant there. Manon hears him and says she doesn't think the funfair is a good place for his business. Before she can explain more, Honda challenges Manon to a match because he thinks she doesn't understand "what makes sumo so great."

After the match, Manon clears up the misunderstanding. She tells Honda that the Fête Foraine is a traveling carnival and will move to another place by the time Honda finishes building his restaurant. Surprised, Honda feels disappointed because he is running out of ideas for where to open. Manon then advises Honda that the location is not the most important thing. What matters is being what they want the world to see, just like how Manon is always a model and a judoka no matter where she goes.

Back in the present, Honda says that meeting Manon helped him decide to choose Metro City as the final location. He wants the city (and himself) to be the "star attraction" and to build "just the kind of restaurant [he] had in mind."

In 2008, a US Air Force pilot named Guile, now a Colonel, fights for his country. He succeeds in breaking up Shadaloo and avenges his friend Charlie. He enjoys living as a family man, but new battles are waiting for him. Guile also appears on the Carrier Byron Taylor stage when players don't choose him.

**Guile: In-Laws**
This story happens after the Nayshall incident (shown in *Days of the Eclipse*). After Guile and Luke sparred on the USS Byron Taylor, they talked about what happened in Nayshall. Guile asked Luke if he had anything to do with Ken, who was blamed for the incident. Luke told Guile that Ken was innocent and was actually "set up" by terrorists.

After Luke left, Guile spoke to the player about how Ken got involved. Guile said Ken wanted to help develop Nayshall but was accused of funding terrorists. This forced Ken to quit the Masters Foundation and disappear from the public eye. Guile still didn't think Ken would do something for money, but he wanted to find Ken and ask him directly.

Later, Guile found Ken hiding in Metro City Downtown. Guile said Ken had been hiding "right under [his] nose" the whole time. He asked if Ken wanted to stay low and only come out when someone tried to harm his family's foundation. Ken quickly shut down the question, thinking Guile came to scold his "loser of a brother-in-law." Guile said he wasn't there to insult Ken and challenged him to a fight, believing Ken only understood fists.

After the fight, Guile told Ken that his wife Julia had explained everything about what really happened. He also said Ken's wife Eliza was worried about him. But Ken refused to go back to his family. Guile thought Ken was still upset about the incident and said he and his friends knew Ken was framed and wanted to help. Ken, still shaken, said he wasn't sure what he was fighting for anymore and didn't want to put anyone he loved in danger, so he refused help.

As Ken left, Guile decided to take the case into his own hands. He wanted to find out what really happened in Nayshall because he believed whoever pushed Ken to the edge was a bigger threat than they thought.

This self-called Chinatown peacekeeper looks up to Yun and Yang, the Twin Dragons. Jamie is a skilled dancer who values justice and friendship above everything. He protects his town using his fighting skills.

Jamie: Peacekeeper
While walking through the Hong Hu Lu Chinatown area of Metro City, Jamie talks to his role models Yun & Yang in his narration. He tells them that even though they are not in Metro City, life is still going well. Jamie introduces himself to the player as the "peacekeeper" of his hometown, watching out for people "lookin' to stir up trouble." Jamie's short talk with a clearly nervous gang member shows he has a strong reputation. Jamie says some people are "tryin' to cause problems," while others just want to "prove how bad they are." Because of this, he is ready to protect his town, even if it means using violence.

Jamie says he is not too "full of [himself]" but still talks proudly about his fighting skills. He says he doesn't want to be the strongest like "some kid lookin' to be the king of the jungle gym," but he trains hard to follow Yun & Yang's example.

As Jamie keeps walking, he and Luke accidentally bump into each other. Luke breaks the quiet by saying Jamie did it on purpose, which makes Jamie angry. They start fighting.

The fight only makes their argument worse. Jamie says in his narration that sometimes he meets someone who makes him really angry for no clear reason. He knows Yun and Yang might laugh at him for this, but he can't help having a childish fight with someone he says he "can't afford to lose to" (like Luke).

The cutscene ends by showing the sky as Jamie and Luke keep trash talking off-screen. Their insults turn into schoolyard taunts that can be heard faintly in the distance.

Luke: Delinquent Turned Fighter
Jamie's appearance in Luke's Arcade mode is similar to his own story: they fight after bumping into each other by accident. Neither says sorry, so they argue and fight. Later, a cutscene shows that Luke and Jamie have been strong rivals since they were kids.

Little is known about JP and the Amnesia group. He was the head financial manager in Shadaloo before it fell apart. While there, he was one of the few who learned to use Psycho Power. After Shadaloo collapsed, he started working under different fake names, like a Russian named Johan Petrovic (ヨハン・ペトロヴィッチ Yohan petorovu~itchi?, Russian: Йохан Петрович) or a Frenchman named Jean-Philippe (ジャン・フィリップ Jan Firippu?), always using the initials "JP." He also joined several groups and worked on projects with different countries, but caused trouble each time.

In Street Fighter 6, JP is the head of an international NGO that has many successful investment projects and is behind Nayshall's current success. He has a beloved cat named Cybele. But in truth, he leads an international terrorist group called Amnesia and caused an event that made his former partner, Ken Masters, look guilty at Nayshall.

Days of the Eclipse

- *Chapter 1:* JP, using the name Johan Petrovic, meets Ken and his assistant Kalima at the Nayshall martial arts tournament. Ken praises the venue and the way Nayshall mixes old traditions with new technology. As they leave, Kalima says some people are unhappy with the tournament. JP explains that protesters are against government policies and asks Kalima to contact security to find a safe route around the protests.

- *Chapter 2:* JP asks Kalima where Ken is, but Ken is missing. JP wants to continue with the press conference without him. After the conference, they will check with security to find Ken. During the event, a hacker group called Amnesia sends a message saying Ken is linked to terrorists, shocking everyone, including JP. JP sees Kalima and another person leaving the arena during the chaos.

- *Chapter 3:* JP tells Luke and his team that even though Ken is missing, their main goal is to protect Nayshall's people. They don't know if Amnesia's claim about Ken is true, but it gives other countries a reason to get involved. To avoid a crisis, Nayshall's government will say the tournament will happen tomorrow and that Ken is involved with terrorists. Luke offers to lead a team to find Ken. Later, JP finds Ken and tells him about his plan to frame him. When Ken tries to attack JP, JP says he has kidnapped Ken's son, Mel. JP gives Ken a phone and says if Ken uses modified drones, Mel will be saved but others might die. If Ken doesn't cooperate, the drone under Mel's chair will explode. JP talks about how people have always believed in things like nationalism, wealth, and love, but these are just stories people tell themselves. He hopes Ken will make the right choice and leaves.

- *Chapter 4:* JP arrives early at Mount Vashal and talks to an officer about the tournament. Later, he finds out Mel escaped and is upset because he saved a VIP seat for him. At the arena, JP tells the crowd about Nayshall's ancient kingdom and how the tournament will bring its legend back. He opens the tournament with an exhibition match. Ken confronts JP, but Luke tries to stop him. JP mocks Ken and says they will take care of his son, which angers Ken. Kalima tries to stop JP and blames him for the problems and disrespecting Nayshall's traditions. She tries to kill JP with a dagger, but he stops her and stabs her. Kalima says the tournament will be canceled because of the chaos, but JP says he already made the most important bet: a fallen champion turned terrorist versus a young peacekeeper. JP says Nayshall is now a nation of criminals and will keep making money from online betting. He warns Kalima that if she quits, everything will end.

JP: Nayshall's Suval'hal Tournament

JP thinks to himself that he used the tournament to hide his money laundering. He feels sad that many people want to use him for their own reasons. He sees Kimberly spying and teleports to her, asking why she is there and threatening her. She asks about her uncle, and they fight. After Kimberly leaves, JP goes back to his throne and compares hosting tournaments to M. Bison's actions. He admits the tournaments are a strange way to try to take over the world, but he enjoys hosting them. He laughs wildly.

**Kimberly: Chasing the Truth**

JP appears as Kimberly's rival in her arcade story.

**Cammy: The Investigation Continues**

JP is Cammy's rival in her arcade story. Cammy is looking for signs of Shadaloo left behind. She finds JP and senses Psycho Power in him. She tries to question him but ends up fighting him. JP escapes without giving her any answers.

**Ken: Questions Without Answers**

JP is Ken's rival in his arcade story. While Ken works at a construction site, he thinks about what JP has done to him. JP appears and taunts Ken, trying to push him toward violence. This is just Ken's dark thoughts, which he fights in a game battle. After JP disappears, Ken wonders if he should try to kill JP.

**A.K.I.: Time to Work**

JP is A.K.I.'s rival in her arcade story. JP asks how she got past security. She says she knocked out a guard with poison. A.K.I. says she knows where the money goes and asks JP what he plans. JP pretends not to know and says he just manages funds. A.K.I. doesn't believe him and fights JP. She tells him to leave Shadaloo's revival to her and F.A.N.G. JP recognizes her as his student. She says she can kill him if F.A.N.G. orders it and leaves.

**Ed: Neo Shadaloo**

JP is Ed's rival in his arcade story. Ed meets JP while searching. JP says he controlled Shadaloo's affairs and still honors Bison after his death. JP says he and the rest of Shadaloo want Ed to be the new leader. Ed fights JP, saying he won't be anyone's pawn. Ed wins and leaves.

**C. Viper: Mommy's Working**

JP is C. Viper's rival in her arcade story.

Juri is a cruel thrillseeker who enjoys the pain and struggle of others, taking great pleasure in defeating her enemies. Without revenge against M. Bison to drive her, she spends her time in a dark, gloomy state. Juri often thinks about her hatred for M. Bison and the fall of Shadaloo. She remembers everything she did to get her revenge and how she was willing to do anything to reach her goal. After Bison's apparent death and Shadaloo's fall, she still feels unsatisfied. She is angry, probably because she didn't deliver the final blow herself. Her frustration at not feeling happy after achieving her goal pushes her to look for more information.

From Chun-Li's point of view, she talks with Juri and wonders why Juri still chases evil and chaos. Chun-Li says that with Bison gone, she doesn't understand why Juri hasn't found peace. Juri asks Chun-Li why she retired after Bison's death, hinting that Chun-Li was a hypocrite for stopping only after her own goal was done. Chun-Li replies that if revenge was all Juri cared about, she wouldn't keep living a wicked life. She suggests Juri is looking for something she can't find. Chun-Li asks Juri to make up for the bad things she's done and still hopes for her, saying, "In a way... you too, are one of Bison's victims," just like her. Juri laughs it off, telling Chun-Li she'll have to "lecture her harder" to get through to her.

Later, Juri is seen sitting on her motorcycle, thinking about Chun-Li's words. Chun-Li's kindness and calling her "one of Bison's victims too" seem to start affecting her. Juri scoffs at these feelings and quietly says she hates Chun-Li for finally reaching her.

Chun-Li: An Agent's Day Off
After getting some information, Juri looks for Chun-Li. Even though she heard Chun-Li had retired, Juri didn't believe Chun-Li wouldn't be interested in the info she found. At first, Chun-Li is unsure about Juri's intentions, especially since Juri introduced herself by challenging Chun-Li to a fight. Fighting Chun-Li brings a small bit of happiness back to Juri, who was worried Chun-Li had "lost her touch." Chun-Li thanks her for caring and asks if she only came to fight. Juri says she came to warn her. She found out things that make her believe more trouble is coming, despite what happened in Street Fighter V. When Chun-Li asks for details, Juri hints that she wants Chun-Li to fight her again if she wants to know, showing that their rivalry is one of the few things that still makes Juri happy.

Juri is shocked to find Bison alive again in the Ruined Lab. Although he seems to have lost his memory, he fights her to learn what the name "Bison" means. Juri loses again, and as Bison grabs her throat, she promises to make him remember who he really is and to kill him. Then, Bison throws her to the ground. She feels angry but helpless. Bison calls her a "squawking crow" and tells her to keep fighting him to satisfy his hunger for power.

Mai: Where's Pao Pao Cafe?
Juri meets Mai, who asks if she knows where Pao Pao Cafe is. Juri ignores the question and tells Mai to bother someone else, getting angry that Mai called her "Butterface." This makes Mai want to teach Juri a lesson, but Juri says no one cares about Mai's nursery school lessons.

In the World Tour mode of Street Fighter 6, Juri is one of the masters you can learn from during your journey after finishing the side mission *A Hardboiled Adventure in Old Nayshall* and going to the *Old Nayshall Back Alley – Old Nayshall Night*. If you train with her, you will learn parts of her fighting style. If you gain her trust, she will share more about her past. She will also tell you about her relationship with C. Viper, her mission to defeat Shadaloo, her childhood, and how her relationship with Cammy is changing.

In Street Fighter 6, Ken used to be the US National Fighting Champion and the vice president of the Masters Foundation. He was accused of planning a crime, so he had to leave his family and business and hide.

Days of the Eclipse

In Chapter 1, Ken talks with some workers at the Masters Foundation. They are unhappy that the company is adding projects like cryptocurrency and micro-insurance to their communication business in Nayshall. Some other aid projects seem rushed. Ken explains that Nayshall is an isolated but growing nation that could be taken over quickly if a nearby country changes. The workers worry about Ken spending 1.5 billion dollars and suggest he ask his father for advice. Ken refuses and says he is the acting chairman. The board members don't understand how holding a fighting tournament in an ancient arena helps the economy. Ken's advisor, Jackson, tries to talk to him, but Ken says this is a good chance to work and the members are just delaying. Then Ken's son calls him from the airport. Ken talks about Nayshall and says his son will have a great experience, but his son says he is upset that Ken doesn't care about what he wants. This makes Ken angry. Luke, who is with Mel, says he picked him up and they will arrive soon. He offers to take Ken to the venue before rehearsal.

At the arena, a secretary named Kalima tells Ken she arranged a special emergency path to the infirmary, even though it's still being built. They meet JP, and Ken praises him for the great venue and for making Nayshall a tech-savvy nation that keeps its old traditions. Ken sees a drone that acts as an AI referee. Kalima says it can follow the fighters' fast moves safely, but Ken shows that while the drone knows fighting, it needs to react faster. The king of Nayshall, Shari, appears and gives Ken a sacred blue cloth that means the next king in ancient times. The king invites Ken to join the tournament, but Ken says he doesn't fight anymore. The young king insists.

Later, Ken asks Jackson what his father would do now. Jackson says he would be unsure too, but he trusted Ken from the start. Ken says he has made his choice. Then they see a roadblock with protestors. Marvin, who is driving, tries to back up and take another way. Some protestors wear cloaks and masks. While backing up, Jackson and Ken get shot, and their car is hit by a truck. Ken escapes and tries to help Jackson, but Jackson tells him to run. The car explodes, killing Jackson and Marvin. A woman and a man named Tsujimoto find Ken, who is unconscious, and take him away.

In Chapter 2, Ken wakes up in an apartment and sees Tsujimoto watching him. Ken asks who he is and tries to get up but is still hurt from the gunshot. Chun-Li arrives and tells Ken not to move yet. Ken asks about Jackson, and Chun-Li says they couldn't save him. Ken is sad. Chun-Li explains that a video sent by Amnesia shows Ken in a crime, and Interpol has him in custody. Ken shouts that he didn't do it, but Chun-Li knocks him down and points a gun at him, telling him to calm down. She knows Ken is being framed and they are trying to prove he is innocent. But since the video is public, Ken can't leave. Ken asks about Mel, and Chun-Li is shocked that his son is there. Ken begs to call Mel, but Chun-Li leaves to make a call, which frustrates Ken. Ken asks Tsujimoto to help with his wound, and when he does, Ken knocks him out to find the real criminals and clear his name.

In Chapter 3, Ken wakes from a nightmare and tries to leave without being seen. He avoids soldiers and sees a man running who trips over a kid. Ken helps the kid, but they get caught in an explosion. The kid recognizes Ken from the news and runs away. Soldiers see Ken and he has to run. Luke meets the kid and chases Ken. Ken goes into an empty building and meets JP. Ken asks how JP found him. JP says he used the surveillance system Ken funded. JP says Ken's story was meant to end there. JP shows Ken a drone with Mel tied up and blindfolded. Mel says he knows his father wouldn't do bad things, but the video cuts off. Ken threatens JP, but JP points out a drone under Mel's chair and gives Ken his phone. The phone shows a map with drones and a detonation button. JP says if Ken presses it, Mel will be saved but another drone will explode somewhere else. Ken thinks JP is bluffing, but a drone explodes. JP shows Mel again with a 3-minute timer. Ken begs JP to stop, but JP lowers the timer and says he hopes Ken chooses right. Ken saves Mel but loses contact. Luke tells Ken to surrender, but a woman grabs Ken and they jump through a window into a river.

In Chapter 4, Ken is with Kalima and admits she was right that he didn't think about her, the people, or the country. He asks why she helped him and if she planned the video. Kalima says no. Ken calls her a liar and says JP and her people planned it. Kalima says she's not like JP and the opposition didn't cause the recent attacks. She says she is part of the opposition. Ken accuses Kalima and the opposition of attacking him and killing Jackson, but she says they had nothing to do with the masked group and were tricked by JP. Kalima says many of her friends were arrested unfairly because of the video and bombings. They only want Nayshall's independence. She calls JP a vampire who will drain their country. Kalima says the projects and Ken's NGO are real, but JP used them as bait. JP's real goal is to broadcast the tournament worldwide and use it to launder money and steal funds through online betting. Ken realizes JP wanted to blame him. Kalima warns Ken JP will use Mel to trap him. She wanted Ken to understand Nayshall's people and says if Ken didn't try to save Mel, she wouldn't have risked helping him. She says only the people can fix their country and asks Ken what he will do. Ken says he's a retired champion but the Masters family never gives up and his son is waiting.

At the arena, Ken avoids officers and finds Mel's room, but Mel is gone. Ken sees a fighter named Borris with an officer and steals his clothes. Ken confronts JP, and Luke tries to stop him. Luke tells Ken to give up. JP mocks Ken and says they will take good care of Mel. Ken gets angry and attacks Luke, injuring his right eye. Luke says Ken plays dirty and accuses him of working with terrorists. Ken says he doesn't know anything. Luke says he only knows Ken shows no mercy to monsters like him. Luke says his father was killed by terrorists like Ken and that Mel trusted him. Ken thinks of his son and hears his voice. Ken gets up but reopens his wound. Luke says if Ken surrenders, he can see Mel again. Ken says no, he wants Mel to see his father fight to the end. He apologizes to Luke for the injury and gives him a free shot. Luke hits Ken with an uppercut. They fight, and Ken wins but then surrenders and is arrested. Later, Ken is released and walks the street feeling sad. But his fighting spirit is still strong when he raises his fist.

Ken: Questions Without Answers

After being held in Nayshall, Ken's name was cleared, but things can't go back to normal. Ken hides and gets a job at SiRN construction in Metro City. His reason for fighting has changed.

Guile: In-Laws

Guile finds Ken and tries to get him to come home because Eliza and Mel worry. Ken refuses because of what happened. He can't go home until he gets back at JP.

Terry: The Journey

Ken promises and calls Terry a good guy before they part.

Ken is unsure at first but sees the Avatar's strong fighting spirit reminds him of himself when he was younger. Ken worries about his family's company, the Masters Foundation, but can't come out because his bad reputation forces him to hide. Ken asks the Avatar to watch over the Foundation's building. Ken learns from the Avatar that thugs still believe JP's lies about him to make Mel's life hard until the Avatar rescues Mel. As the Avatar learns Ken's techniques, Ken tells them about his past, his time with Ryu, and the Nayshall incident where JP framed him and almost ruined his life.

After M. Bison was found alive but with amnesia, the Avatar looks for Ken and other fighters who knew Bison to learn about his past before the A Shadow Falls event. Ken tells the Avatar about being brainwashed by M. Bison before Street Fighter IV.

bhUninvited student to Guy, the 39th successor to Bushinryu. Kimberly had a normal childhood, but she is a true prodigy who finished college early... and she is very excited about being a ninja because she thinks it's cool. She loves '80s pop culture. People see her as the new generation version of Chun-Li.

Kimberly: Chasing the Truth
Kimberly's story starts with her talking about how she found a new clue to solve the mysterious death of her uncle Albert in Nayshall through "one crazy coincidence." After solving a "weird formula" on an online math forum, a user named "Shaobing" sent her a private message. He said the formula she solved was actually a secret message about a shadowy group that seems connected to her uncle.

Following this clue, Kimberly went to Nayshall. She said she admired her late uncle for taking care of her, and since he died after "getting caught up in some trouble," she is determined to find out the truth about his death. After finding clues and "kicking more tail than [she] can keep track of," Kimberly met "Johan Petrovic," the man she thinks has been "pulling all the strings" at the Suval'hal Arena. When JP saw her, he calmly asked if she needed help. Kimberly demanded that JP, her uncle's former boss, tell her everything he knows about her uncle. This led to a fight.

After the fight, Kimberly seemed to win. But she felt JP was holding back the whole time and that she was actually "on the ropes" during the fight. JP warned Kimberly that nothing is "more dangerous than unwarranted confidence in one's abilities," and told her to "forget" their meeting before quietly leaving. In the end, Kimberly didn't get the answers from JP, but she realized she is not strong enough to face a "monster" like him yet. So, Kimberly believes she still needs to train and get stronger for the journey ahead.

JP: Nayshall's Suval'hal Tournament
Kimberly also appears in JP's Arcade story, which shows their meeting from his point of view. There, Kimberly is spying on JP until he notices her, leading to a confrontation and a fight.

A descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe, Lily talks with the spirits of nature and trusts their guidance as she travels the world. Don't judge her by her small size — she has huge power inside.

Lily: That's the Spirit
Lily loves to travel. A spirit named Toyno'Ikonoi (トイノイコノイ toinoikonoi?) talks to her through the wind, telling her to see the world because there is so much waiting for her. Lily says that long ago, a Thunderfoot warrior like her went on a journey to save the tribe. On that trip, he met many great warriors, and Lily hopes her journey will be the same.

When Lily comes back home, Dhalsim appears. He teleports from India. Lily is amazed by his teleportation and wonders if he is a spirit. Dhalsim says no and challenges her to a fight to test her strength.

After Dhalsim leaves, Lily thinks about how he sensed a "great power" inside her. She believes he means her spirit Toyno'Ikonoi. Lily decides to travel the world to get stronger and wants to show how much she and Toyno'Ikonoi have grown.

Dhalsim: An Omen
Dhalsim's Arcade mode shows his meeting with Lily from his view. While meditating in the Dhalsimer Temple, he feels a "great power" that has been "dormant" for a long time. He decides to find it. Dhalsim teleports to the Thunderfoot Settlement in Mexico to meet Lily, the source of the power, and challenges her to a fight to test her strength.

After the fight, Dhalsim becomes friends with Lily and chief Singing Wolf. They even take a selfie together. Dhalsim feels no danger from Lily's spirit but worries the "great power" inside her might be the Satsui no Hado. He hopes it is not.

Blanka: Real-life Cryptid
Lily thought Blanka-chan's "cryptid sprite" ads for his travel company were real and went to Brazil to meet the "sprite." After fighting Blanka, he says sorry for "lying" about Blanka-chan being a cryptid. Lily tells him she can feel "the spirit of the jungle" inside him, and that is what she was looking for. This accidentally makes Blanka believe that Blanka-chan and "the spirit of the jungle" are the same and both are real.

Luke returns in Street Fighter 6, playing a key role as the main tutor for the player’s Avatar in the World Tour mode. A contractor for a private military company, he uses his elite military background to teach mixed martial arts. On his days off, he indulges in junk food, PC gaming, and fighting—always with a competitive edge.

Days of the Eclipse begins with Chapter 1: Some Indication, where Luke meets Mel Masters and escorts him to Nayshall. Luke remarks that the world is getting bigger, but Mel counters that it’s getting smaller, noting it only took a day to reach Nayshall—a tiny, newly independent country in the Asian mountains unknown to his friends. Mel corrects Luke’s earlier mistake about Nigeria’s location, pointing out it’s in Africa, not South America. Concerned, Luke interrupts Mel’s tense phone call with his father, Ken Masters, to assure him Mel is safe and their arrival at Nayshall is imminent, offering to take him to the venue before the rehearsal. After the call, Luke asks if Mel had to give up other plans for the trip, and Mel casually admits, “Sort of.” Luke teases him about having a girlfriend and tries to connect over a mobile game they both play, but Mel declines, saying he doesn’t befriend newcomers. Luke jokes by howling like a wolf, prompting Mel to note that wolves rarely attack people, recalling seeing them in Alaska during another tournament. Luke then gives Mel fruit and a pocketknife, saying he’ll be “the man” on any camping trip if he masters using it.

# Chapter 2: A Good Fake
In Chapter 2, Luke tells Mel they will arrive soon. Mel just sighs, clearly upset. They enter JP's press conference for the new Nayshall martial arts tournament arena, which is almost finished. Suddenly, a group called Amnesia, known for hacking, interrupts the event. They show videos of Ken Masters secretly working with terrorists. Everyone, including Luke and Mel, is shocked. Luke tells Mel they need to leave to keep him safe.

In the city, worried about Amnesia's claims, Luke tells his boss that Mel can't reach his father by phone. Luke's boss says they are investigating the claims against Ken and found out Ken's car was attacked. This makes Luke angry. He asks if Ken is a terrorist, but they don't know if the attack was a betrayal or a trick to help Ken escape. Either way, they decide to stop working with Ken. Luke is sad because Ken is their client, but his boss reminds him their only clients are the Nayshall government and the Terra Partners Network NGO. He tells Luke to go back to HQ and says they will keep looking after Mel.

# Chapter 3: Manipulation
In Chapter 3, Luke's boss and JP explain the situation to Luke and the security team. Protecting Nayshall's people is their top goal while Ken is on the run. Even if Amnesia's leaks might not be true, other countries could use them as an excuse to get involved. To avoid a crisis, Nayshall's government will say two things: the tournament will happen tomorrow, and Ken Masters is linked to terrorists.

Luke looks at Mel and remembers when his father died saving him and others years ago. This memory makes Luke ask to lead a team of three to catch Ken. Mel says his dad is innocent, but Luke has to go. They shake hands, and Luke wishes they could have played a mobile game together. Mel tries to give Luke back his pocketknife, but Luke tells him to keep it.

After leaving, Luke gets a message that Mel accepted his friend request. Then, a bomb explodes in a busy market. Luke sees a cellphone on the ground that was changed into a bomb trigger. More drones start coming in, and Luke warns his team and people that the drones are now bombs. He orders the area to be blocked off and tells everyone not to touch the drones. One of Luke's men finds they can trace the signal and that it's close by.

Later, Luke finds and faces Ken. Suddenly, a loud noise distracts them, and a woman jumps out of the shadows. She grabs Ken and tries to run away. Luke shoots her in the shoulder, but they escape through a window. Luke and his team stop chasing them and focus on a new discovery: a map showing more drone attack targets.

# Chapter 4: As a Father
In Chapter 4, Luke tells his boss that his team found the terrorists' base where drones are changed, and someone helped Ken escape, but that person might be hurt. Luke's boss says the two drones that exploded were stolen, and the others are still missing. He orders all drones, even private ones, to stay grounded for now. They are working with the police to find them, but it's hard to find all in one day. He reminds Luke the tournament starts in two hours and says the police should find Ken.

At the arena, Ken faces JP. Luke tells his men not to shoot because he doesn't want Mel to lose his father too. Luke tells Ken to give up. JP says he's disappointed in Ken and promises to take good care of Mel. Angry, Ken attacks and hurts Luke's right eye. Luke says Ken plays dirty for a champion and accuses him of working with terrorists. Ken says Luke doesn't know anything. Luke says he only knows he won't show mercy to monsters like Ken. King Shari and the crowd cheer for Luke.

Mel runs to the stage to get closer. Luke says his father was in the army and was killed by terrorists like Ken. He tells Ken he betrayed Mel but can see his son again if he surrenders. Ken refuses, saying Mel should see his father fight to the end. He apologizes to Luke for hurting him and offers a free shot. This makes Luke angry. He says, “Dammit. Why do all dads always gotta act like this?” and punches Ken with an uppercut. They keep fighting. Ken wins but finally gives up and is arrested.

**Luke: Delinquent Turned Fighter**
Luke introduces himself and tells his story. After leaving the US Army, he worked as a private military contractor. Later, he quit to become an MMA coach and start street fighting. He isn't sure why he chose street fighting, but he remembers someone telling him a fighter is someone who "fights their battles on their own terms." Luke thinks this is why he works hard to improve his fighting skills, hoping to meet someone who thinks the same way.

While talking about his past fights against top fighters, Luke accidentally bumps into Jamie. They stare at each other but don't recognize one another. Luke expects Jamie to apologize first. Jamie says he's waiting for Luke's apology and says he doesn't like making a fuss over nothing. They get angry, trade insults, and start fighting.

After the fight, they keep arguing. Luke thinks again about the "definition of a fighter." He believes anyone who calls themselves a fighter is on the same path, giving their all. But about his fight with Jamie, he laughs and admits he hasn't changed much from the kid who used to get into fights in back alleys. A scene shows young Luke and Jamie in the same fighting poses as their adult selves, hinting they have been rivals since childhood. It's like they both act like kids when they see each other.

**Ryu: The Path**
Ryu talks about his journey. Luke asks him for a friendly fight. Ryu wants to know why. Luke says he just wants to fight someone stronger. Ryu quietly laughs but agrees and wins. Luke wakes up after being knocked out, holding his head and phone. He's sad Ryu left before they could take a picture, but he's happy with the photo he got of Ryu walking away into the sunset.

**Guile: In-laws**
At a military base, Luke, with a towel on his shoulders, says he's glad to have trained with Guile. Guile says sparring with Luke keeps him sharp. When Luke asks what Guile wants to talk about, they discuss Luke's time in Nayshall. Luke says he believes Ken is innocent of the terrorism charges, which Guile has always thought about his brother-in-law. Guile then talks about his thoughts on the situation and a secret meeting with Ken.

Manon Legrand was born as the youngest of three siblings in a rich French aristocrat family. Her father encouraged her to try judo in a public preschool class, and she quickly showed great talent. People around her called her a "genius." She then took private lessons from her father's instructor. As the only daughter, Manon had a mostly happy childhood with her older brothers. But her parents divorced before she started competing in world tournaments. Her mother told her she would be "just fine" without her because she was "strong." These words hurt Manon deeply. She thought her mother left her because she was "strong," and she later came to hate the word "strong." When she was young, Manon believed that if she did well in judo, her parents would get back together. Though she now knows this is unlikely, a small part of that hope still stays inside her.

As Manon grew up, she tried many careers and became very successful in all of them. She won a gold medal at the world judo championship and was so proud she wore it everywhere. Manon also became a famous ballerina, supermodel, and actress. Her main reason for working hard in these careers was to prove her mother wrong about being "just fine." But even with her success, Manon became more distant and cold. She was often praised and started to believe she would do "just fine" in everything. She also hated how people (except her brothers) only saw her as the "perfect" person and nothing more.

Street Fighter 6
Manon is a supermodel and world champion judoka. She is an idealist who always wants to improve herself and find beauty. She walks the street fighting stage to become the world's strongest model.

**Manon: Because I'm Strong**
Manon thinks about being called strong her whole life. She admits she doesn't like hearing it or praising herself with it. But one day at the colosseum, Marisa saw her in the crowd and challenged her to a fight. It was one of the most direct challenges Manon had ever faced. She felt a connection with Marisa because Marisa said they liked the same things.

Manon won the fight, but before she could feel indifferent about it, Marisa's love for fighting surprised her. Marisa enjoyed fighting someone as strong as Manon and wanted to get better even after losing. This affected Manon in a way she didn't expect. Usually, being called strong hurt her, but when Marisa said it, it made her happy. Manon saw that Marisa used "strong" as a goal to get better, not just as a label for achievements like others did.

Marisa asked for a rematch, and Manon agreed. She accepted that she is strong, but not in the way others saw it — only in the way she and Marisa do.

**Marisa: All of the Might**
Marisa's arcade mode shows her first meeting with Manon from her point of view. Even in a crowd at the colosseum, Manon was the only one who caught her eye. She challenged Manon right away, which made Manon amused. In Manon's ending, she beats Marisa, who then asks for a rematch. In Marisa's ending, she wins the rematch. They sit back to back and share a moment. Marisa talks about winning, losing, and fighting strong people, showing Manon that she has a simple way of thinking. Manon says she has no problem with that, making Manon smile and Marisa laugh as their bond grows through fighting.

**E. Honda: Chanko House Edomon**
Manon appears in E. Honda's flashback when he is looking for a place to open his Chanko House Edomon restaurant. When Honda decides to build it at the Fête Foraine traveling carnival, Manon politely disagrees. Before she can explain why, Honda challenges her to a match because he thinks she doesn't understand "what makes sumo so great."

After the match, Manon clears things up and gives Honda advice to build the restaurant the way he wants the world to see it. Honda takes her advice and decides to build his dream restaurant in Metro City.

Marisa Rosetti was born into a family of Italian artisans with Greek roots. Since she was a child, Marisa has been deeply connected to Greek heritage, especially pankration wrestling. She trained hard to become a strong fighter. She also studied fine crafts and arts to carry on her family's business, focusing mainly on jewelry making.

**Street Fighter 6**
Marisa is a rising jewelry designer from Italy who says she comes from ancient Greek warriors. As a child, she was inspired by a vision of the Colosseum at its best. Now, she looks for glory with a smile and a love for beauty.

In Marisa's story mode, she shows her love for her history and pankration pride, promising to always fight with all her strength. Her journey leads her to meet Manon for the first time. Even in a crowd at the Colosseum, Manon is the only one who truly catches her eye. Marisa challenges her right away, and Manon reacts with amusement. In Manon's ending, she beats Marisa, who then asks for a rematch. In Marisa's ending, she wins the rematch. They sit back to back and share a moment of connection. Marisa talks about how she sees winning, losing, and fighting strong opponents, admitting she has a simple way of thinking. When Manon asks about this, she says she doesn't mind at all. They both smile and laugh, growing closer through their fight.

Manon thinks about how people have always told her she is strong. She says she didn't like hearing it or saying it about herself. But that changed at the Colosseum when Marisa saw her in the crowd and challenged her. It was one of the most direct challenges she had ever faced, but she felt a connection because Marisa said they liked the same things. Manon won the fight, but before she could feel indifferent, Marisa's love for the fight surprised her. Marisa enjoyed fighting someone as strong as Manon, and that affected Manon in a way she didn't expect. Usually, being called strong hurt her, but when Marisa said it, it made her happy. Marisa asked for a rematch, and Manon accepted, embracing her strength in the way she and Marisa understood it.

Marisa appears at the end of Zangief's story mode. Zangief answers an ad thinking it's for a Tag-Team Partnership. Marisa later tells him it's actually a duel for a Marriage Partnership. Zangief figures out the mix-up, turns down the marriage offer, and goes back to a wrestling contest he feels he must join. Marisa admits she sent the flyers partly as a joke, hoping to fight strong people. She thinks Zangief is a great catch and hopes they meet again.

Marisa is first seen at the Colosseum playing with her lion, Lucius. As the Avatar gets closer to her, she shares more about her life. She talks about her love for engraving, which grew into making jewelry. She also says that if it were up to her, she would fight naked like her ancestors, but that's not allowed now. Later, the Avatar talks with her mostly about her love life. She says her grandmother is very skilled and made the most beautiful dress she's ever seen. The dress was meant to be Marisa's wedding dress. Marriage wasn't something Marisa thought about before, but her grandmother's wish for her to marry while she's alive made her consider it.

Marisa later decides to marry after asking the player to test two suitors in a fight. One is a woman named Marta, and the other is a man named Diego. After asking the player's opinion, she chooses to marry both and offers the player a place in their relationship if they want.

In 2008, the colossal wrestler known as the Red Cyclone, Zangief, was dedicated to physical improvement and teaching his students. One day in Italy, he spotted an ad seeking a “partner” for the colosseum. Believing it to be for a Tag-Team partner, he eagerly headed to the arena, thrilled at the chance to fight there. Unbeknownst to him, the partially folded poster actually revealed Marisa’s search for a marriage suitor through combat. When Zangief arrived, his muscles and fighting spirit impressed Marisa, though he remained oblivious to her flirtatious comments, thinking she merely wanted to test his technique. After the match, Marisa revealed she was looking for a “partner for life” and proposed. Flustered and not wanting to upset her, Zangief politely declined, claiming he had to return to a wrestling match he “definitely” had. Marisa, who admitted she half-jokingly sent out the flyers hoping to fight strong opponents, still considered Zangief quite a catch and hoped their paths would cross again someday.

Ever training, this martial artist seeks true strength. Polite and sincere, Ryu travels the world in search of worthy opponents. Having overcome the Satsui no Hado, he now aims for even greater heights.

Ryu reflects on his journey, recalling friends and rivals like Ken, his closest companion and fellow student, as well as allies such as Guile, Chun-Li, and Dhalsim, who have supported him in tough times. He also remembers past and present foes—Retsu, Sagat, Akuma, and M. Bison—and the dark side within himself that he has fought to overcome. Now free from the Satsui no Hado and at peace, Ryu continues his quest for “true strength,” seeking those stronger than himself.

Later, Luke approaches Ryu at the Genbu Temple, asking for a fight. Ryu questions Luke about his purpose for fighting, prompting Luke to think deeply before admitting he’s never considered it. Eventually, Luke explains he wants to challenge someone stronger than himself. Seeing his younger self in Luke’s spirit, Ryu accepts the match.

After winning, Ryu quietly departs before Luke can take a picture with him. Luke manages only to capture a shot of Ryu’s back, later deciding the image—reminiscent of Ryu in his early days—“ain’t so bad.”

After training abroad, Ryu returns to Japan to continue his practice at Genbu Temple. The priest there invites him to join a festival, where he carries a portable shrine. While training, fighters like Luke and Lily drop by, hoping to challenge him. Ryu hears about Ken’s situation from an acquaintance but decides not to get involved, knowing Ken has his reasons for staying out of touch. He tells the Avatar he plans to remain in Japan for now. Later, after the Avatar’s encounter with Akuma and an amnesiac but still-living M. Bison, Ryu, alongside Luke, helps them overcome their fear of Akuma’s intimidating presence, recalling that he was one of the fighters who knew Bison up until their last battle in the A Shadow Falls event.

After M. Bison and Shadaloo fell, F.A.N.G. went back to Shanghai to restart Shadaloo. During the Chinese New Year, he spent a night drinking with old friends and making new connections to help fund his plans. He noticed a teenage girl who looked like a prostitute and was drawn to a dirty, quiet place. When he got there, the girl tried to seduce him, but then her brother showed up with a camera, trying to blackmail F.A.N.G. Instead of getting angry, F.A.N.G. admired the girl's spirit. Since her brother had secretly recorded him on his phone, F.A.N.G. gave them three choices: take money that was secretly poisoned to kill one of them and ruin their clients; take a fancy dagger with a snake handle that would cut off the hand of whoever grabbed it; or take nothing and leave alive. The girl noticed the writing on the dagger and its beauty. She wanted to know where it came from, feeling it had some power. F.A.N.G. said she was right and promised to explain if she came with him. Without knowing it, she chose the most valuable thing F.A.N.G. had — the dagger had the secrets of the Nguuhao's strongest poison techniques, passed down in their group. The girl agreed to go with F.A.N.G., who named her "Phantom" and trained her to take over. Phantom later became known as A.K.I., a snake-like assassin loyal to F.A.N.G.

Street Fighter 6
A.K.I. is F.A.N.G.'s poison-using student and a former Shadaloo officer. She loves testing poisons on new targets and enjoys attention from her “master.”

A.K.I.: Time to Work
At Tian Hong Yuan, A.K.I. was sent by F.A.N.G. to check on the leftover Shadaloo members and warn them if they got in his way. A.K.I. wanted to kill them but was told not to use deadly force. While thinking about her mission, A.K.I. bumped into Chun-Li and recognized her right away. Knowing Chun-Li was back from her break, A.K.I. warned her not to interfere or she would “lose [her] whole face.”

Later, at Suval'hal Arena in Nayshall, A.K.I. met JP, the old Shadaloo money manager. JP was shocked A.K.I. got past his security to see him. A.K.I. said she knew where his hidden money was going and about his plans for Ed, a former Shadaloo experiment. JP denied it, saying he only handled the money left by the group. A.K.I. didn't believe him and attacked JP.

After beating JP, A.K.I. questioned him. She said only her master should bring back Shadaloo, and JP guessed right that it was F.A.N.G. behind it. Before leaving, A.K.I. warned JP that if he got in F.A.N.G.'s way, she would “erase [his] existence whenever [F.A.N.G] commands it.”

As A.K.I. left, she got ready to tell F.A.N.G. about the mission. She happily talked about how much she loved F.A.N.G. and looked forward to his praise. She was sure he would be proud because she followed his orders exactly, using “pain and fear” but no killing. Then she laughed wildly, showing how much she adored her master.

A.K.I. first met the Avatar when a thief stole her bag, thinking it had money. The bag really had poison. The Avatar stopped the thief by blocking him. A.K.I. wanted to kill the thief, but the Avatar stopped her and convinced her to let the thief go. A.K.I. healed the thief and let them leave. She gave the Avatar herbs needed for a customer he was helping. The Avatar asked to be her student, and she agreed.

ko Akuma: The Sound of Chiseling

Deep inside Enma's Hollow, Akuma is seen meditating while carving a wooden idol. The narrator explains that Akuma's life has been shaped by every battle he has fought, just like each chisel stroke slowly shapes the wood into an idol. Akuma then thinks about his recent "fight to the death" with Ryu.

In a flashback, Ryu visits Akuma in Enma's Hollow. Akuma asks if Ryu is still enjoying their fight, and Ryu smiles quietly. Akuma gets angry because he thinks Ryu is not taking the fight seriously and calls him out for smiling. Ryu replies that he put all his strength into the fight. After a short pause, Ryu says he felt that Akuma also enjoyed fighting him, showing they have something in common even though they chose different paths. Akuma gets mad, thinking Ryu is mocking him, and challenges him to another fight.

Back in the present, Akuma goes back to carving the wooden idol and thinks about their fight. At the end, the idol is shown with a smile, hinting that Ryu's words about Akuma might be true.

Akuma can be found in Enma's Hollow. He is first seen training his fists, then breaking a falling rock from the ceiling and cutting off the head of a giant ogre statue with a Goshoryuken. The headless statue almost kills the player's Avatar when they arrive. When Akuma notices the Avatar, the Avatar is scared because of Akuma's strong presence. Akuma then disappears into the fog.

To train under Akuma, the Avatar must first overcome their fears by sparring with Ryu and Luke, who point out their weaknesses. After fighting Akuma several times, he ends the final fight with a powerful Metsu Shoryuken that defeats the Avatar. Even facing defeat, the Avatar laughs. Seeing the Avatar's similarity to Ryu, Akuma punches the ground and lets the Avatar become his student.

A is a young person with Psycho Power who grew up fast because of Shadaloo's experiments. He is on a mission to free others like him. He has a short temper and a foul mouth, traits he got from Balrog, his former mentor and father figure.

A.K.I: Time to Work
After sneaking into JP's base in Nayshall, A.K.I. confronts the tyrant about his interest in Shadaloo's genetic experiments like Ed.

Ed: Neo Shadaloo
Ed's story starts with him explaining how Neo Shadaloo was formed after the events of Street Fighter V: A Shadow Falls. He scattered the group to find other hidden Shadaloo bases and possible victims, which led him to Metro City. Eventually, he reached Nayshall, where JP greeted him. This made Ed lose his temper as they talked. JP said some Shadaloo followers named Ed's group Neo Shadaloo and want Ed to take Bison's place. This led to a fight between Ed and JP. Ed won but did not get any answers from JP. Back in Metro City, Ed confidently said he would join the fight between groups, saying they will play by the rules and cards of the game.

Years after Neo Shadaloo was formed, Ed's location is unknown. According to information A.K.I. found, JP, the leader of Amnesia, has plans for Ed. Some of the few Shadaloo agents left believe Ed would be a good leader for a new Shadaloo, while others think JP would be better.

At the Metro City Train Station, the Avatar meets Ed, who is fighting Shadaloo remnants wearing cardboard boxes. After beating them all, Ed takes a break to check his phone, which has some news that upsets him. Still, the Avatar gets closer to Ed, who shares more about his past. Sadly, the Shadaloo remnants have pulled one member of the old Metro City gang, Mad Gear, into their group. Ed says he and Balrog are still friends, and Balrog often spends time with Neo Shadaloo when he can. Ed is now worried about Falke, who disappeared while investigating in Nayshall, her last known location.

Rashid: Where the Wind Takes Me
After the events of A Shadow Falls, Rashid continued his travels with Azam, narrating his role in Street Fighter V. He eventually shows off his cellphone camera and selfie stick, clearly enjoying his vlogging hobby as he films his fights with other warriors. When he encounters Ryu, Rashid challenges him to a rematch, discreetly hiding his selfie stick and phone behind his back. Ryu accepts, and they battle.

After the match, Rashid realizes the fight with Ryu is something unforgettable, teaching him more about himself. He notes that during the fight, the thought of recording it “didn’t even cross [his] mind,” as his focus was purely on the joy of fighting without distractions. This makes him briefly consider following a spiritual path like Ryu, but he quickly reverts to his playful self, revealing a drone camera to record another fight—much to Azam’s disappointment.

At some point during her travels, Lily Hawk faces off against Elena. Elena was added as a playable character on June 5th, 2025. A cheerful girl raised in the savannah and part of a proud warrior clan, she has a gift for healing and dreams of becoming a veterinarian. Elena befriends Akuma after a sparring match in his cavern, grateful for the fight despite knowing his fearsome reputation. Akuma tells her that Satsui no Hado and her natural strength are two sides of the same coin. Inspired, Elena sets out on a journey to understand life and combat. Guided by Narumi in Japan, she meets Ryu, seeking his insight. Ryu agrees to a battle, promising to share his story. After their fight, Elena is delighted, and Narumi checks in out of concern. Elena remarks that Ryu and Akuma share similar personalities and predicts they will reconcile someday, prompting Ryu to disagree since they are still enemies. Elena laughs, declaring both her friends, and points out again how alike they truly are.

M. Bison comes back unexpectedly in Summer 2024, even though he seemed to have died for good in Street Fighter V. A man who looks like M. Bison, the leader of Shadaloo, is found. He has lost his memories but still shows violent behavior. He appears in places connected to Shadaloo, guided by Psycho Power.

 M. Bison: An Unquenchable Thirst

In his arcade story, Bison is called the Nameless Man. His story starts with him waking up naked in an alley in Metro City, with no memory of who he is. Three thugs come up to him and make fun of him, thinking he was robbed and calling him a "loser." Bison stands up, and his strong presence scares one of the thugs, who then begs for mercy even though they just mocked him. The Nameless Man fights the thugs and takes some clothes from one of them. When asked who he is, he says he doesn't know but feels a strong urge (Psycho Power) that will help him find out who he really is to satisfy his "hunger."

The Psycho Power leads the Nameless Man to the Ruined Shadaloo Lab. While wondering why the power brought him there, Juri appears. She is shocked and asks if he is M. Bison. The Nameless Man asks who "Bison" is. Juri says M. Bison is the worst kind of person and should be dead. Curious, the Nameless Man challenges Juri to a fight to learn more about Bison.

After beating Juri, the Nameless Man grabs her by the throat and asks if he looks like "M. Bison" and what she would do if he really is Bison. Angry, Juri says she will make him remember everything he did and make sure he suffers and dies again. The Nameless Man lets her go and mocks her, saying he will never be killed by someone like her and calls her "a squawking crow." He then decides to take the name "Bison" for himself and asks Juri to fight him more to satisfy his hunger for battle and power.

An amnesiac man who took the name "M. Bison" is found on a cliff in Nayshall at night by the Avatar. He has infected a male horse he rides with Psycho Power, saving it from near death. He names the horse "Rocinante." The Avatar takes a picture of Bison after he lands with Rocinante, who almost crushes them. Bison spares the Avatar because Rocinante likes them and then leads them to the Ruined Lab.

After the Avatar fights a Shadaloo test subject in the Ruined Lab, the lab's machines and a chair with Bison's cap turn on. This releases Psycho Power and memories of M. Bison, creating the form of Phantom Bison. The amnesiac M. Bison notices this and absorbs Phantom Bison into himself to become whole again. This leads to the Avatar becoming his follower.

Bison thinks he survived the fight with Ryu because his soul might have moved into one of his backup bodies somewhere in the world. He also thinks there could be another "Bison" out there. Even though the Shadaloo he knew might be gone, Bison still wants to take over the world. He believes he will find more followers on his own to reach his goal.

After coming back to lead the Shadaloo remains, still with some memory loss, the Avatar looks for fighters who last fought Bison in "A Shadow Falls." These fighters are Ryu, Ken, Guile, Juri, Cammy, and Chun-Li. The Avatar wants to learn more about who Bison really was.

In 2008, there is a passionate fighter who travels around the world to improve his skills. He is also called the "Hungry Wolf." He comes to Metro City after hearing about the opening of the sixth Pao Pao Cafe.

Terry: The Journey
While waiting to cross a train track on his motorbike, Terry introduces himself as a man who loves to travel. He says he wants to "travel to new places, try new things, meet new people, and have good fights," with the extra bonus of finding good food. Terry believes that "life isn't something to throw away."

Terry arrives in Metro City after learning that a new Pao Pao Cafe is about to open. Walking through the downtown alley, he meets his old friend and rival Ken, who he hasn't seen in a while. Ken greets Terry in a tired voice. Seeing Ken's clothes and mood, Terry thinks Ken might be broke, and Ken just sighs. Terry says he's happy to see Ken again and asks for a fight to "celebrate" their reunion.

After the fight, Terry notices Ken is not as fiery as usual. He says Ken's usual "red hot" attacks seem "a little bit soggy." Ken apologizes for "disappointing" Terry and says he has a lot on his mind, so he can't focus on fighting. Terry comforts Ken, telling him his fighting spirit hasn't died and that he believes Ken will "rise from the ashes" of his troubles. Terry says he doesn't want to interfere but encourages Ken to keep fighting, promising to always give him "the fight of a lifetime." Feeling better, Ken stands up and calls Terry a "good guy" who lives life well. Terry is glad Ken is back to his old self as Ken gives back his baseball cap. The two fighters promise to bring "extra hot stuff" next time they meet and say goodbye.

In the ending scene, Terry enjoys his meal at the Metro City Pao Pao Cafe. He says his simple life goal of "fight, eat, drink, sleep" is a "good life," and he looks forward to his new journey.

Terry arrives at an annual fighting festival held to celebrate the grand opening of the sixth Pao Pao Cafe branch in Metro City. His arrival honors his first appearance in Fatal Fury: King of Fighters. He briefly fights the player character without harm. Then, Terry goes to the new Pao Pao Cafe 6, where the final festival matches will start. He is the cafe's honored guest fighter. There, he fights Alwaiss Louz, a fighter who looks like Lao, a character from Fatal Fury: First Contact and a regular NPC.

Terry is tired from fighting, just like the player who is tired of fighting people dressed like Blue Mary, Joe, and Andy, and facing a triple threat from Rudra and Thrasher Damnd. Terry quickly takes the player as his student.

While talking to the player, Terry mentions his father Jeff, Geese, Tung Fu Rue, Andy, Blue Mary, Joe, Duck King, Ukee, and Rock. All of them appear in artwork as he talks about them. Terry also talks about the big fish he caught in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers. He then meets Blue Mary and Joe again, who have taken people dressed like them as apprentices. Terry also visits Ryu at Genbu Temple for a short sparring session, thanks to the player bringing him there.

Mai has already arrived in Metro City to meet Terry and others, especially Andy at Pao Pao Cafe 6. But she can't meet Andy in person because she and the player saw him leave after sparring with Terry. Andy is going to E. Honda's chanko joint, where Mai had been before. Terry apologizes to Mai for Andy leaving without saying goodbye.

Mai is the granddaughter of Hanzo Shiranui, a master of Ninjitsu and Koppoken. Mai learned the secrets of Ninjitsu from her grandfather. During this time, she met Andy Bogard, who came to train under her grandfather. Later, Mai had to learn from her grandfather's friend, Jubei Yamada, in Ninjitsu. At first, Mai was not interested in Andy and thought he was just another cold man focused only on training. But when he gave her a present on her birthday, she saw him differently and eventually fell in love with him, which confused Andy a lot. She spends much of the series chasing after Andy and daydreaming about their wedding.

Mai is the next in line to carry on the Shiranui-style ninja arts. She is a charming kunoichi who cares about love as much as she cares about training. She loves cooking, making Japanese clothes, flower arranging, and traditional Japanese dance.

Mai: Where's the Pao Pao Cafe!? Mai reads a letter from Andy Bogard saying he went to find Terry Bogard. So she decides to find Andy in Metro City, where the Pao Pao Cafe is. She asks many people about the cafe and meets Juri, whom she calls annoying. After beating Juri, Mai keeps looking for the cafe and meets E. Honda, who is promoting his Chanko restaurant. She asks him where the Pao Pao Cafe is. After beating E. Honda, he shows Mai his restaurant, but she is disappointed and annoyed because it is not the cafe she wants. She ends up working at his restaurant while his happy customers cheer her on.

In World Tour Mode, Mai disguises herself as "Ichiko Kureno" during a nighttime Knockout Festival in Metro City. She asks the Avatar to help her win team matches to get into Metro City's new Pao Pao Cafe, where Joe, Blue Mary, and the Bogard brothers — especially Andy — are. Mai reveals who she is, and she and the Avatar see Terry and Andy talking after sparring, but Andy leaves quickly. Mai is sad to miss Andy, but Terry comforts her. Since the Avatar wants to learn her Shiranui techniques, she invites the Avatar to Aokigahara to train.

To unlock Knockout Festival 2 and become Mai's student, players must first become Terry's student by completing Chapter 11 – 4, then become Ryu's student, and win the first Knockout Festival event and the matches at Pao Pao Cafe 6.

C. Viper is an agent from a secret intelligence group. She is very realistic and tough. She uses many gadgets hidden in her clothes to help her fight.

C. Viper tells her story using the fake name Grace Hill. She works as the head of the Research and Development department at SiRN Holdings. Many workers depend on her for experiments and fight training because she works very hard. She also shares that she is a divorced mother deep down.

Even though she has this job, C. Viper is really an agent from another group. She knows SiRN looks like a good company from the outside, but inside, they use data from the biggest criminal groups in history. Now, she deals with former Shadaloo members and others involved in crimes. She does not like working late to finish missions.

She meets JP after finding out SiRN works with an outside company. While checking on her client, she found nothing and learned the company was fake. This made her follow the money trail. JP asks if she wants help and warns her she is facing the wrong person. This makes her attack him. C. Viper asks JP about his full name and does not mind that he never uses his real name for Shadaloo money.

JP is surprised when C. Viper's gloves start to spark with electricity. She says she is curious and asks where the money is. JP says sorry but does not stop her curiosity. She shocks him on the neck with electricity. But JP uses Psycho Power and she realizes he was just an illusion. JP laughs evilly and says goodbye, sending regards to everyone in Langley. C. Viper is angry when JP disappears.

Later, she says her cover story is partly a lie. She really is a workaholic and a single mother. She comes home tired and meets her teenage daughter, Lauren. Lauren says her mother looks worse than before. C. Viper says it is not as bad as it seems. She tells Lauren she went to England and everything fell apart. Lauren understands and decides to make dinner. C. Viper happily agrees. Lauren complains that her mother worries too much about her. C. Viper gives Lauren chocolates made by the royal family. Lauren gladly accepts and says they can eat the chocolates first while making tea before dinner. C. Viper agrees happily. She ends by saying she works hard to give a good life to her daughter Lauren.

C. Viper can be found at a Training Stage owned by SiRN. She helps the player Avatar with SiRN's fight training program before taking the Avatar as her student. But then a SiRN Bison goes out of control. Viper kills it and saves the Avatar, who is holding SiRN Bison's leg.

Sagat came back on August 5th, 2025, in Year 3. He is known as the Emperor of Muay Thai. He used to be one of the top members of Shadaloo, a criminal group, but he left it. Now, he lives deep in the mountains, focusing only on his training.

Sagat: An Uninvited Guest

Sagat and Willa Maiu stand on a cliff looking at the misty mountains. The narrator tells Sagat's story: After becoming the best Muay Thai fighter, Sagat joined an "international terrorist organization" (Shadaloo) and became one of its "grandmasters." But because he wanted to get better, Sagat clashed with Shadaloo and left them for good. He went to the mountains to train more. Sagat is very strong, like a "near insurmountable wall." People who know how strong he is try to find him in the mountains. Just as the story ends, Willa Maiu sees someone coming and growls. Sagat turns to see who it is.

The visitor is Sagat's old boss, M. Bison. When Bison gets off his horse, Rocinante, Willa Maiu sees him as a threat and roars. Sagat is shocked because he thought Bison was dead. Bison tells Sagat that the old Bison is "dead and buried" and that he is now "different." Sagat guesses that Bison used one of his "ghastly clones" to come back to life. Sagat tells Bison to leave because he doesn't need to work with him anymore. Bison, who has regained his memories (as shown in the World Tour story), is happy to see Sagat is still the same man he remembers. He demands Sagat's help again. Sagat gets ready to fight and says he will only give up if Bison forces him.

After the fight, Bison is excited to have fought someone strong enough to "quench [the] desire inside of [him]." Angry, Sagat tells Bison to leave because he won't take orders from him anymore. Bison is not bothered and says he can feel a "raging power buried deep within [him] that wants to destroy all." He offers Sagat "a place to let it all out." Sagat refuses again, so Bison leaves. Before going, Bison says he will take back everything he lost and rebuild Shadaloo. When that happens, he will come back to Sagat. Bison laughs as he teleports away. Sagat loses his patience and uses Tiger Uppercut just as Bison disappears.

After Bison leaves, Sagat sees that Willa Maiu is upset because of Bison's visit. Sagat comforts Willa Maiu, saying he will never lose to anyone, no matter who they are.

Alex returns on March 17th, 2026, as part of Year 3. He is a young wrestler seen as the next big star. He started with his adoptive father Tom as his trainer but quickly became a heel because people thought he looked unfriendly. Alex was seen fighting Andore in the Metro City wrestling ring. During the World Tour, Alex remembered events from Street Fighter V, where he and Laura were supposed to fight Zangief and R. Mika in a mixed tag match, but it was delayed because Shadaloo activated the Black Moons. He also became friends with Abigail while trying to fix his car, but their friendship sometimes had ups and downs over small disagreements. Alex told the Avatar that he married Patricia after being trained by Tom from childhood to adulthood, and they soon had a daughter.

In his story, Alex is married to Patricia, who is pregnant with their daughter. His last name is Winger, revealed when Patricia called him Alex Winger. At first, the crowd booed him when he played a heel in the wrestling ring after beating a random opponent. As a pro wrestler, Alex thinks this job is worth it. He travels alone to Metro City, outside New York, to visit Ryu at the Gemaji Temple to test his strength while remembering his past street fights.

Ryu notices Alex's new look and calmly asks if he has really changed since their last fight. Alex says it's just who he is. Ryu wants to spar with Alex, and Alex agrees, saying fighting him will be different.

After the fight, Alex goes home to New York to see Patricia. It is shown that they are married and she is pregnant. Patricia asks him to feel the baby kick, which surprises him. She says their daughter will grow up to be a wrestler like him, and Alex accepts this calmly.

This marks the conclusion of Street Fighter 6 and the overall ending of my essay series on the mainline Street Fighter story. Since Street Fighter 6 is currently the active game in the franchise, with new characters added through DLC each year, I will continue updating the essays with information on all new characters. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading these seven-part essays, which serve as a comprehensive version of the basic Street Fighter lore compiled from the official Street Fighter fandom wiki.

As for what’s next after this essay marathon, I plan to write a single essay on the Final Fight games and another on Rival Schools, both of which belong to the extended Street Fighter universe. I’m also considering starting a new essay marathon covering my second favorite fighting game series after Street Fighter—the Fatal Fury series by SNK—which has also had crossover events with Street Fighter. Expect more essays in the future, and may you always enjoy fighting games!
